New-boy Roman Bednar has not ruled out a stay beyond this season at promotion-chasing Blackpool, after backing the club to reach the play-offs.
The 28-year-old Czech striker joined the Seasiders on a six-month contract from West Brom last week and made his debut from the bench against Coventry on Tuesday, setting up Kevin Phillips' equaliser in a dramatic 2-1 win.
Bednar will be with Ian Holloway's side until the end of the season but sees a future at Bloomfield Road beyond this term's Championship promotion push.
"As they wanted me for a long time and the manager in particular was interested in signing me, I decided on Blackpool immediately," Bednar told CTK.
"They have welcomed me superbly and I feel great here.
"So far I'm signed until the end of this season and I would like to help Blackpool into the play-offs in the worst case. Then we'll see."
