Neil Redfearn is concentrating all his efforts on preparing the Leeds first-team and not speculation over their vacant managerial position.
The club are on the lookout for a new man at the helm following Simon Grayson's sacking and Redfearn has been entrusted with looking after the team until a long-term successor can be appointed.
Redfearn, who had been looking after the club's youth team, is not being distracted by ongoing speculation amid reports fans are looking for a high-profile manager to replace Grayson.
A number of names have been linked with the Elland Road hot-seat, however, Redfearn is none the wise regarding who will ultimately be asked by the club's hierarchy.
"The bottom line is no-one knows. You can speculate as much as you want but no-one knows," Redfearn commented regarding Leeds' vacant managerial position.
"Only the powers that be know which direction the club are going to go in. I've been asked to do a job and haven't looked beyond that. It's a real honour to be in charge of the club for whatever length of time.
"I can understand that some fans may want a big name or a high-profile name. But whoever comes in or does the job, I firmly believe it's not about the manager. It's about the players and that will always be the case.
"The manager sets things up, but once you come to 3pm on a Saturday then it's about the 11 players on the pitch."
