Doncaster manager Dean Saunders has called on his players to show mental toughness as they attempt to cure their travel sickness.
Last Tuesday's 0-0 draw at Hull ended a six-game losing streak on the road and Rovers visit Crystal Palace this weekend searching for a first win away from the Keepmoat Stadium since beating Ipswich 3-2 at the start of November.
"Some of the lads have been here five years doing the same things and I've been here just over three months and I'm trying to change their mentality and their thinking," said Saunders. "We've got to go away from home and be stronger in the brain and harder to beat.
"The only things that should affect you away from home is the referee and maybe the support getting onto the linesman and the referee so little decisions don't go your way.
"But the crowd can't come out and tackle you - it's psychological. They can't come out and cross a ball into your box, none of the supporters can score. If you think about it, it shouldn't affect you. You should motivate yourself. You shouldn't need a home crowd to motivate you.
"History tells you teams win more games at home than they do away. Sometimes being in your own environment helps - you know where the touchlines are, you know where the bylines are, you shoot in the same goalmouth. But it's all psychological."
