Macclesfield have agreed terms over the loan of centre-back Shaun Brisley to Peterborough.
Brisley will join the Championship side on an emergency loan until the end of the season ahead of a permanent move, which the Silkmen claim could become their record sale.
Manager Gary Simpson is already in the process of securing a replacement for the 21-year-old, who has played 141 times for Town and is set for a swansong against Plymouth this weekend if the League Two clash can beat the weather.
A statement on Macclesfield's official website read: "Everyone at the Moss Rose would like to wish Shaun the best for the future and thank him for his sterling efforts for the Silkmen."
