Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson has two potential targets in mind to replace Premier League-bound defender Ryan Bennett.
Bennett joined Premier League club Norwich last week for an undisclosed fee that Posh are reporting as a club-record sale.
The England Under-21 international has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal but the Canaries have agreed for him to remain at London Road on an emergency loan until the end of this month.
Ferguson has revealed that he has his eye on two centre-backs as replacements but he does not expect to bring anyone to London Road until Bennett has left.
"I have two replacements for Ryan on my mind. One is an experienced player and the other is a younger footballer," Ferguson told the assembled press. "When the new one arrives will depend on which one I get.
"Ryan was outstanding again at Burnley on Saturday though so I don't see the newcomer playing until he has gone. Ryan still sees himself as a Posh player anyway. His commitment was excellent at Burnley as was the whole team's in pretty horrible conditions."
